Where can I get pellets?

There are two ways to get Owl Pellets. One way is to purchase them. We highly reccommend using Owl Brand Discovery Kits as your source for buying owl pellets. They have excellent service and a quality product.

The other way to get owl pellets is to find them yourself. Finding an owl pellet is not the easiest thing to do, but they are easier to dissect since they are fresher. To find an owl pellet you must first find an owl. It is helpful to find one of the larger owl species such as the Great Horned Owl or the Barred Owl. Next you need to find where that owl regurgitates its pellets. This is usually done from the same tree limb. It is best to walk through a wooded area where owls are known to be active. Search around the base of the larger trees for owl pellets. You will have best results during the wintertime, since the owl pellets will be easier to see on top of the white snow. In the springs, summer, and fall you will have to poke around the leaves and plants to see if there are any pellets on the ground. If you find one pellet, keep looking. There are bound to be more.
